Now it's gonna be a good way to transport up to six bikes on a full-size truck, like your Nissan Titan. A tailgate pad, in general, is a great way to transport lots of bikes because they generally have larger capacities than a hitch mounted bike rack, which tend to top out around a four bike capacity. You can certainly get some that will hold up to six bikes, but they're very specialty and they're gonna cost a lot more too. more

Kuat Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2023 Nissan Titan KU49ZR- Video

Hi, everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Huk Tailgate Pad and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Nissan TITAN. This is gonna be their smallest tailgate pad they make, the half pad, and it only covers half the tailgate. So if you only need to carry one or two bikes and you don't wanna deal with a hitch-mounted bike rack or any other version of a truck bed bike rack, then this tailgate pad could be the one for you. I'm very partial to it myself, I've used a tailgate pad in this half size on my own truck a number of times, and I really like it, because we can have the bikes loaded up on one side, still see out the back window very easily, not extend really anything off the back of our truck besides our tire, and still have access to our backup camera and the handle for our tailgate when the bikes are unloaded. So for me, this is a really convenient way to carry your bikes, because if you've got a truck bed, you might as well use it, and it keeps the bikes a little bit more protected by partially being in the bed. more

Now, this is going to be an alternative way to haul bikes rather than having a hitch bike rack, or a rooftop bike rack. With both of those options, you are limited to the amount of bikes that you can haul. If you've got a truck, you've got a lot of extra space. If you're going on a trip, this might not be a great option for you because you're going to lose pretty much all your bed depending on the size of the bikes that you're putting in here. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the SeaSucker Falcon Truck Bed Bike Rack, part number: 298-BF1002.The Falcon is a great bike rack for your truck. It's very easy to install and uses vacuum-style suction cups to go to the back window of your vehicle. It doesn't require any additional hardware to install, and it doesn't require you to drill in the truck bed of your truck.This includes a nine millimeter, quick-release skewer and, sold separately, has adapters for 15 millimeter and 20 millimeter through-axle skewers as well. This carries up to one bike and has a 45-pound weight capacity. There are also locking mechanisms that you can use to secure the sheer window that are also sold on etrailer.com. This is also going to measure 62 inches wide and fit multiple different types of trucks. We already have two of our three straps secured down. We have one on the center and one off to each side. We'll show you how to secure our last one and how we would secure down our gear.We come to the center, we can open up our flap. This is going to be secured with hook and loop, which is easy to remove, but it also secured down that flap whenever you're driving. more

Swagman Impakt Bike Rack Installation - 2018 Nissan Frontier- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Nissan Frontier, we'll be test fitting the Swagman Impact bike rack part number S64703. When it comes to bike racks for trucks you have several different options. You can go with the roof bike rack but the height can be a little bit of hassle taking the bike on and off. Or you can actually go with the hitch but then you lose tailgate access from time to time. Or you can actually place it inside the truck bed itself, which is what we opted for. And since this truck bed is a little shorter than usual, we actually went for a skewer mount in our track system here and that's where the Swagman Impact comes into play.This uses a nine millimeter skewer, which is what we're using with our bike rack right now that grips it by the forks. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2013 Nissan Frontier- Video

Today on our 2013 Nissan Frontier, we'll be test fitting the Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack for compact trucks, part number TH823. To begin our test fit, we'll go ahead and place the Thule Gate Mate directly onto our tailgate. When placing the Gate Mate onto out tailgate, we want to make sure that the Thule logo is at the bottom passenger side corner. We'll undo the flap so we can access our tailgate handle. We'll lower our tailgate just a little bit and bring the straps at the bottom of the Gate Mate around the underside of our tailgate towards the inside. With the straps fed through, we'll feed them through the buckles and cinch them down evenly. Before we tighten it all the way down, we want to make sure that the pad is centered evenly on the tailgate. Now we can make our way around and tighten down each strap. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2014 Nissan Frontier- Video

Today on our 2014 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be test fitting the 54 inch wide Thule Gate Mate, Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack, part number TH823. We'll begin our test fit by making sure that all of our straps are loosened. We'll want to rest this over the tailgate. Once we have it centered on our tailgate, we can open the flap here, that's going to give us access to the tailgate handle. We'll lower this down. We'll grab our straps and we'll want to fasten them around so any which way you can, I go right through here so that I can reach on the backside of the tailgate to grab the ones closest to the bed or closest to the edge of the tailgate, excuse me. We'll then fasten them through the straps. We're going to pull this tight, making sure we're taking any slack out. more
